The Aspire P-16 Collaborative exists to support and improve education in Clark County and thus the economic and social vitality of our community. Our mission recognizes that all students deserve a challenging curriculum that will provide them the skills to secure meaningful employment or to complete successfully post-secondary education. The Collaborative understands that successful education is a collaborative enterprise and that it requires the involvement of education, business, social service and community leaders. Based on partnership, the Collaborative creates a structure for executive-level leaders to discuss common educational goals under the direction of a director employed to support our common enterprise. We will develop and align strategic approaches in support of those goals and determine and use the assessment tools that help us evaluate performance. The Collaborative respects the institutional integrity of all its members and operates on the principal of mutual benefit.
The Collaborative does not exist to mandate strategies or enforce the development of particular programmatic options. Rather it exists to discover and promote those efforts that create a “win” for all students and for all concerned. As we discover, create, and implement those programs that make educational a more exciting and rewarding experience for all students, we are building a thriving Clark County.
The Aspire P-16 Collaborative is a network of networks capable of convening, linking, and coordinating groups; aligning systems; scanning to identify emerging challenges and bringing resources to bear to resolve them; and improving coordination to improve access and ensure that resources are provided to learners when they are needed. The Aspire P-16 Collaborative links the improvement of education to economic development to ensure an improved quality of life for the entire county.
The Aspire P-16 Collaborative is a neutral, trusted 501(C) (3) organization. The Collaborative is the full body comprised of member organizations representing diverse sectors of business, social service, government, education & community members. The Aspire Collaborative is collectively responsible for networking, linking, convening, and outcomes reporting. The Aspire P-16 Board is the decision-making body that supports the organizational functioning of the Collaborative. It is a defined 27 member governance body elected from the full Collaborative.
